Rotten Idea File #1

I was at work the other day thinking about wireless networks and how anybody can get on an unsecured one. I thought it would be funny to set up an unsecured wireless network with a whole lot of crap on it just to mess with people. Years ago I used to love Attrition's defacement mirror. They used to show copies of defaced web sites that cracker kiddies got into, but I guess it became too much of a hassle so they stopped. But I was thinking of creating a server that was not really connected to anything but served up the fake web with jacked up sites.
It really is a dirty trick and of course it's another of my ideas that exceeds logistical constraints. I just think it would be funny as hell to jack with people who think they're getting free internet access, but it's better in theory than practice. It would take infinite man hours and the only way it could be done is if it were somehow profitable, which it isn't. So ashes to ashes, here's another idea for the Fluxus graveyard.
