The Busywork Office
As you can probably tell, there is a big lull at work these days. That is why I have been monopolozing the blogs of late.
Every company everywhere has lots of busywork. The real necessary busywork, like printing out paystubs etc, ususally gets its own office: General Affairs, or Admin or whatever. But I know there must be tons of other silly stuff, like labeling cabinets and lockers, that is just piling up unnoticed. This should be centralized into the busywork office, so that when you have some extra time on your hands, you can walk to the bustwork office and get something to do. You would at least be doing something constructive rather than blogging (ok, it can be constructive) or surfing Amazon etc. Then your boss says "Gee these cabniets sure are nicely reorganized" Or everyone has their own notepad made from scraps( ooh, environmental). And wehn you get busy again, you just do your work and someone else can take care of the busywork.
Need to work out the details to make sure people arent in the busywork office all the time.
